Having read some negative reviews of this hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a good quality budget hotel - and at a reasonable price (by Oslo standards - a very expensive city). Location is good - walking distance from the railway station and close to all the city centre attractions. Check in was easy and the room quality was good - decent sized and comfortable bed, and a clean modern bathroom with shower. All you want really for an overnight. Only issue was connecting to the WiFi. Normally a simple click on your phone or device, but that didn't work. Had to get the guy at the desk to sort it for me, which he did. Otherwise, an overall good experience

Was there on saturday checking in, did wear "techwear" clothing for a event in oslo that evening, i have never in my life been accused of beeing a drug addict, do NOT recommend this hotel to others because of the nasty and horrible staff that were going to reject an sober, paying customer at checkin only because of having parts of a cosplay costume on due to convience before saturday evening event i was attending

We had a lovely stay at the P-Hotel in Oslo. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. The room was very clean and everything worked well. It is located in a central part of the city which made it very easy to access public transport and find everything we needed.

Terrible! Even from the day before I arrived. I tried to call to ask a question but a stern voiced woman picked up the phone “We’re busy! Hold the line”. She then proceeded to put down the phone and help about three other guests with the phone right next to her. So I overheard ALL their information (I would have course never have used that information, but still…If I found out that happened to me while checking in I’d be furious). I waited for almost 10 minutes, before hanging up. I think she forgot me. I decided to wait and call back later that evening. Thankfully another employee picked up the phone, and I finally got to ask my question: When can I check in tomorrow? At any time I wish, was the answer. I even asked the same question two more times to make sure. He said the same thing all three times. When I arrived the day after it was on 2 hours of sleep and on a pretty tight schedule. I had hurried from the airport to be able to catch up on some sleep, but the nice lady behind the counter informed me that I was not allowed to check in. I had to wait TWO HOURS! At least she was nice enough to let me hand off my luggage. But let’s just say I was in a mood. When I got back to the hotel I got to check in. I did ask about the breakfast options, but got a swift “we don’t have a breakfast buffet” in response. Later on it turned out that they did in fact have a breakfast option… I mean … the lobby doubled as a cafè, so one would expect it to be at least something. But after seeing my room I quickly realised that I wouldn’t be buying food at that hotel. Cause when I got to my room I was chocked. It was old and worn down. The size of the room was good. But the conditions… it was old, a bit smelly and it was actually not clean. Especially the bathroom. Black lines along the tiles, and over the mirror and light it was visible dust, and a lot of it. And every time I used the tap in the bathroom it started a bubbling sound in the shower. Also: if someone was ever to wonder how a light switch looks on the inside of a wall, I can now proudly inform you that I can tell you all about it. There was a hole in the wall beside one of the switches. The lighting system was strange as well and it seemed like the bed side lighting was just an IKEA lamp randomly screwed onto the wall at a strange hight. And you had to choose between that or charging your phone. At one point I had to laugh! There were ONE single picture in the room and even that was hung askew. Yes, the people in the reception are truly very nice people. They just don’t seem to have control or knowledge on even the easiest things. Not only would I never stay there again. I would actively pay money not to have to.
